A Surprising Connection Between Custom Crating and Rescued Birds

Jan Robson runs a centre looking after retired birds, like parrots, who have outlived their owners or who have been given up by people who have found them too much to care for. How could this possibly be relevant to Vevex, a Vancouver company that has manufactured tens of thousands of shipping crates? About Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary

Jan is spokesperson for Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary, which houses dozens of adoptable rescued parrots.

Anyone interested in adoption should do their research in advance, Robson says, and be aware of the demands of parrots as pets, including noise levels, medical needs and potentially long lifespans (in some cases up to 80 years). However, she says, “if you want a companion in the truest sense of the word, you can’t go too far wrong with a parrot.”
